YOUth involvement
In order to prevent youth substance use, we must tap into our local youth’s thoughts and ideas. In RISE we use the saying “Youth Led, Adult Guided”. We want our youth members to take the reins! Let your voice be heard. What are the biggest problems you see facing our youth today? How can we create community level change to fix them? What are your thoughts on our next initiative that you feel would really impact your peers?
RISE will help to educate you, bring out your voice, teach you to effectively advocate at the local, state, and national level for the issues you are passionate about, and even take you to state and national conferences that have HUNDREDS of other youth from around the world working on the same issue: youth substance use.

Meeting time/dates have been discussed with school staff & students. It is increasingly more difficult to meet on weekends with students, so the decision has been made to meet during the week/school day.
Events
Get involved in our local events educating the community on the downside of using harmful substances and promoting substance free lifestyles. Adults and youth are needed to make each event a success!
